What Happens to Courts If the Federal Government Shuts Down?

A news item from the courts indicates that the courts will use non-appropriated funds to continue operations--for 2 weeks.
Once that funding is exhausted, however, the federal court system faces serious disruptions. Following their own contingency plans, federal courts would limit operation to essential activities.
Essential activities all relate to the resolution of cases. All other personnel would be suspended and payments to jurors would be deferred.
