Chief Justice John Roberts: Word Nerd

In Chief Justice John Roberts: Word Nerd (theAtlantic.com, March 1, 2011), Garrett Epps discusses FCC v. AT&T Inc., in which Roberts parses FOIA's "personal privacy" exemption NOT to include corporations' privacy, even though corporations are "persons."

The linguistic analysis Epps quotes is clever and persuasive -- but Epps also notes that Roberts didn't add anything about the policy behind FOIA.
