Open Access to Government Information: Did Washington State Make the Grade?

Joke of the day: What do state legislatures and law students have in common? Punchline: They both receive report cards!

Okay, so that wasn't very funny, at all.  Anyhow...

Recently, the Open States project published a report card ranking each state's efforts towards providing government information to its citizenry.  Happily, Washington State received an "A."

Although we were ranked "average" in the categories of completeness, ease of access, standards, and permanence, we received perfect scores for machine readability and timeliness.  Say what you will about Washingtonians, but don't question our punctuality!
